La collection Jaroslav PICKA est une importante collection
de Coléoptères Tenebrionidae. Elle comprend
plus de 250 cartons et regroupe plus de 31000 spécimens
provenant en grande partie de la région paléarctique
(Europe, Bassin méditerranéen) mais aussi
d'Asie (Tibet, Viet-Nam).
The Jaroslav PICKA's collection is an important collection
of Tenebrionidae (Coleoptera). It includes more than 250
boxes and gathers more than 31000 specimens coming mainly
from the palearctic area (Europe, Mediterranean basin) but
also from Asia (Tibet, Vietnam).

on J. PICKA's collection
Un des objectifs du Symposium était de permettre
à la communauté des spécialistes de
Tenebrionidae d'avoir accès à cette remarquable
collection qui comprend un important " magasin " (matériel
préparé et étiqueté mais non
identifié) au sein duquel se trouve très probablement
un certain nombre d'espèces inédites provenant
de contrées souvent difficiles d'accès de
nos jours.
One of the objectives of the Symposium was to allow the
community specialists in Tenebrionidae to have access to
this remarkable collection which includes an important "store"
(material prepared and labelled but not identified) in which
most probably a certain number of new species often coming
from regions of nowadays difficult access.
